You are a change maker – a woman with an insatiable desire to transform lives, beliefs, actions, and habits for the better. You see a problem and rush to solve it. You find a gap and want to fill it.
THAT is why you started your business (or dream of starting one). You don’t just want to make money, you want to make meaning and feel good about how you do it.
What you’re struggling with is the “how”.
Despite your genuine desire, you haven’t been able to get all those great ideas out of your head or figured out how to attract clients or build the audience that will let you have the impact you want.
You tried copying someone else’s marketing formula only to be disappointed with the results. You tweeted, Facebook posted, and pinned yourself into exhaustion because some social media guru told you that’s the way to go.
And you spent more money than you can track on business courses and guides that still left you wondering what to do next.
That’s because what you need isn’t a formula or generic guide, but custom strategies for spotlighting your message, expertise, and ideas.
You need someone to help you grow without sacrificing impact for income – someone to help you foster community and connection.
That is what I do.
Hi There, I’m Yoneco
(That’s pronounced yo-knee-kah.)
I wish we could meetup in a quiet, canal-side café, have a beer (Belle-Vue Kriek is my favorite), and get to know each other properly. But, alas, this will have to do.
I help change makers like you with business strategies that increase your visibility, influence, and impact.
That starts with first refining your message and how you communicate it, so you’re reaching the right people at the right time. Then helping you create and market content (posts, podcasts, emails, etc.) that builds trust and credibility.
And finally, I take the best of your genius, leverage it into new programs, courses, workshops, events…and launch them.
The result is clients who are able to reach more, touch more, and earn more.
I’ve seen these extraordinary women go from:
- shy, unpaid speaker to sought-after workshop leader,
- from hobby blogger to twice-published author and paid columnist,
- from yoga enthusiast to creator of a successful certification program, and
- from part-time confidence coach to champion of an entire movement.
If hearing that lights you up inside, then here’s how I can help.
How I Got Here
Hmm, origin stories are tricky, but here goes…
I studied Sociology and Dutch (yes, Dutch) at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated certain of only one thing: that I didn’t want to be a sociologist.
Well, when you don’t know what you want, life decides for you and I ended up a business analyst for a Big Four consulting firm. Sounds cool, right? Analysts earn well and get to travel. Right?
I did travel. A lot. So much that those years are all a blur of airports, hotel lobbies, and rental car agencies.
And the thing is, I was good at the work. No two client projects were ever the same, but they all hinged on taking a complex problem, rotating it around to see it from all angles, and then mapping out the best solutions and next steps.
But you can only GO, GO, GO for so long, and when the burnout hit me, it was hard. I left Corporate America and never looked back.
I spent the next ten years developing, marketing, and managing programs for a national non-profit, designing online trainings, conducting workshops, planning events for an educational foundation, and working in sales and marketing for a major insurance company.
That’s when it hit me:
I could create the career freedom and life I wanted all on my own. So, I am.
Away From the Laptop
Beyond work, I’m an INFJ who’s part geek, part clown, and a whole lot of vagabond, gypsy road warrior.
I love dogs, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and swear by the Oxford comma. Amsterdam is where I’m most at home. And my Netflix history reveals an obsession with U.K. crime dramas and Canadian sci-fi shows.
I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but somehow don’t have a Southern accent. Over the years I’ve also lived in Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Belgium. Pre-Covid, I divided time between Mississippi and Amsterdam. Now I’m Gulf Coast-bound until travel feels safe and fun again.
